Day 123: or The Day We Talked About Leaving

Today was one of those odd days that seems warmer than it really is. Never really getting out of the low 60's, and quite breezy at times, it was light coat weather. But when the sun shone strong, I could have been in a swimsuit. The Kid and I had lunch at the park. He has a 1.5 hour break between classes for lunch on Tuesdays. Usually we go home and eat but today was nice enough and I planned a bit ahead so that we could stay at the park and he could play. He of course was too distracted by the other kids to actually sit and eat, but he choked enough of his sandwich down that he shouldn't be starving.

I came home and sat in the sun for awhile. Even though I don't really leave the house, it makes me feel better to go sit in the garden with a book. I went to get the Kid from school and I let him finish watching the movie from last night. The 13 year old played on the trampoline with him while I talked to the parents about the last 2 months of my time here. We discussed weekend trips and vacation days. We also, for the first time, decided on when I would be going home. I'll be leaving sometime in the 3rd week of July, just in time for the family reunion. It's still far enough away that it doesn't seem real, but it will come sooner than I expect I'm sure.
