Day144: or The Day I Couldn't Figure Out The Trains

I took the early train a couple of stops this morning to a larger train station to discuss tickets for next weekend. I am considering a couple of destinations, but my French only gets me so far. I may end up in the South of France, or maybe Rome. I know I'm going somewhere because I get 4 days off in a row, but where is still up in the air. Because I'm reserving seats with a Eurail Pass, I can't purchase my tickets online. Hopefully, next time I try, I'll be successful and leave with 2 tickets to somewhere.

The rest of the day was spent outside mainly. We had lunch at the park and I sat and talked with some of the other au pairs. It started off cool this morning but ended up being nice and warm. I dropped the Kid off at school and headed back to the house where I read outside and enjoyed the sunshine. When I went to get the Kid, one of the little girls in his class asked if he could come over and play. So I returned home alone and with a few free hours. I ended up just talking to the girls when I got there and took my time making dinner. I obviously don't mind the time off, but I'd be just as happy if they came over to our house. I feel bad sometimes that all he has is me. A good change of pace every once in a while seems like a good thing.
